In this consultation stage we may ask:

  • What is your budget, timeframe, restrictions?

  • What are your goals?

  • Who is your end user?

  • What already works? What doesn't?

  • What will the role of the interior designer, architect, graphic designer be?

Maybe your project requires all of us, maybe it requires one of us. This is where we will find out.

 

2. EXAMINE  

This is where we evaluate the logistics of your project—understanding site conditions, constraints, and opportunities to support layout, flow, and overall functionality.

In this programming stage we will:

  • Evaluate site conditions

  • Inventory furniture & equipment to remain

  • Develop floor plan options that support flow and usability

  • Review building codes

  • Begin aligning concept with site and operational needs

 

3. EXPLORE 

This is where we push ideas forward—developing creative, concept-driven solutions that reflect your brand while supporting how the space will be experienced and used.

In this concept development stage we will:

  • Think big!

  • Develop creative solutions to represent your brand or home

  • Review and share concept images

  • Create 3d renderings and elevations

  • Review preliminary material selections

  • Present-feedback-revise-present-feedback-revise

 

4. FINE TUNE 

This is where our vision turns into actuality.

In this design development stage we will:

  • Fine-tune the big ideas from above

  • Revisit budget, schedule & codes

  • Finalize floor plan, elevations, lighting plans & furnishing, fixtures, materials and equipment specifications

  • Coordinate logistics of custom design details with our trusted local artisans

 

5. DRAFT 

This is where the design is translated into clear, buildable documentation—ensuring contractors, vendors, and teams can execute the project accurately.

In this design implementation stage we will:

  • Create construction documentation to obtain permits and speak to our contractors 

  • Create specification books to ensure procurement is a seamless process

  • Final code analysis

 

6. PURCHASE & ADMINISTER 

This is where we support execution—overseeing procurement, coordination, and construction to ensure the project is delivered as intended.

In this project administrative stage we will:

  • Facilitate vendor relations, orders, payment & receive products on your behalf

  • Coordinate and communicate with contractors and trades people during construction

  • Conduct site visits to ensure quality, budget, and timeline are maintained

  • Documentation as needed for change orders
